Do you have an elderly parent or younger adult with a medical or neurological condition who wishes to make or update his/her Will or give or revoke Powers of Attorney for Property or Personal Care?   Advanced age, psychiatric and/or neurological conditions do not, in and of themselves, cause incapacity.  Determining whether an individual has or does not have capacity in specific areas depends on many factors.  As a psychologist familiar with geriatric and capacity issues, I am able to provide such opinions to you and/or the senior’s lawyer.

As a Capacity Assessor designated by the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (Ontario), I also have the expertise to evaluate the client’s capacity to manage Property and Personal Care in an objective, impartial manner.
